Before entering the film industry, Wells worked as a mechanical engineer. In March 2025, she changed careers to pursue filmmaking full-time. Since then, she has worked on a feature film, a Ringo Starr music video, and has directed an award winning short film Pencil & Doodles.
In 2026, Wells launched the “3-2-1 Project,” an ambitious year-long challenge to direct 3 short films, produce 2 projects, and write 1 feature screenplay, documenting it all on her Instagram.
Wells co-founded the digital comedy club “We Need A Laugh,” whose videos have amassed more than 5 million views online.
